I have an antique sofa that I have possession of. It has a chair to go with it. I have uploaded pictures of this sofa. I cant find any information on my own, I believe it to be maybe a french style sofa from the 50's with walnut wood work. It is about 7 feet long, 3 cushion, 4 front legs, and 2 back legs. Any and all information would be helpful.

    Thanks
    Gail

I suspect that it has been reupholstered but I am not an expert on furniture. Welcome to the group!!!

Gail, I like your sofa. I am wondering about two things though: how deep is it from the "front" of the sofa to the back cushion(s) where your back would rest and what is the height from the top of the seat cushions to the floor? ;)

P.S. I am just trying to figure out if I could sit on the sofa, rest my back on the cushions, and still have my legs reach the floor.

No pics of the whole thing? Obviously French inspired but think American 50s-60s.

    Upholstery would be original.

I would think so with that fabric....& Moms had the same trim when it was bought..

It is 16 inches from the cushion to the floor and 22 inches from backrest to the front of the cushion.
