I have an Asian vase that 18” tall. On the bottom it says 1766, I’m not sure if that’s the date or what. But I was wondering if anyone knew the value of it and can give me some information on it. I have no clue if its worth ten dollars or 100.

    Thank you so much

Also, there is some kind of old Asian music book. If anyone can read the artist or date that would be great.
    again thank you.

Very pretty vase. The Chinese are known for putting older marks on their porcelain, not as a forgery, but to honor . Someone might have thought the mark read 1766 and assumed thats how old the vase may be. Im no expert,so it may be that old (but I think newer) . Close ups of the vase would help,as well as a pic of the bottom, the devil is in the details sometimes.

Thank you John, that little symbol thing in image 4036 is on the bottom and it’s like stamped in as part of the vase. It’s not like a sticker or anything.

Based only on the faces, I think this is a recent Chinese vase. Recent as in after the 1980s up to today.
    Only an opinion.
    Wait for others to comment.

Agree, recent. The faces are too sweet.:)
The mark is also recent. 1766 (where?) is the model number.

Sorry, we don't do values here. Besides, we know more about antiques.
Best to look for similar vases on ebay. It is handpainted, maybe that helps in your search.

    Decorative value only.
18" is a nice floor vase size
Where you intend to sell it makes a difference on what you ask.

komo - what difference does it make how old some one is?
Many people don't have their correct bdays listed when they sign in.
What matters is that they are asking for help that we are able to give.

    So linklink -
Garage sale or Craigslist. I'm in Northern CA, I would ask 25-30 for it and if offered 20 take it.

If this is something your mother left you, your tastes change over time. Things you think don't mean anything come back to haunt you later. As you sort through her things, if there are any doubts about keeping something. Keep it for later.

It doesn't make any difference Pat....until someone....for some reason...posts that they are not really who they signed in as.
I like to know whom I'm dealing with .
My replies will differ significantly to a 32 year old male, than say a 21 year old, or a 64 year old female.
For me , it's also kind of a trust thing.
