Featured Help With A Signature

This portrait is coming up for sale locally next week. It is extremely well painted and I feel that it must be by a known artist. However, the signature is very indistinct. I have trie d some adjustments. Can anybody help?

 

I doubt this helps, I keep seeing P or F L Larkine or something close to that.

I've found him. Patrick Lambert Larking. Here is a painting of his sold in 2018
I suspect it is the same boy but a little older. He is a known artist and has one portrait in the National Portrait Gallery

Toby's first post last Sunday was asking about how to post a picture. Got 2 immediate replies with links to instructions. I guess he did not see the replies or had not confirmed his email to finish membership registration. @toby

 

Well I'm going to guess that it's the latter problem, because when I tried to tag him above his ID did not appear in the usual dropdown even though it "looks like" it took.

 

SO, HOW to reach @toby is the problem, or how to get him to reply so we can help him!!!!

 

That is probably it. When somebody can reply to a thread but can't start one of their own, that is a symptom that they have not confirmed their email.
