Antique baby cradle help

    I was needing some help on the date and what type of wood this is? Not sure if it’s hand crafted or what. Any help would be great.

    look, a real bassinet !
    the wood...from here, looks like pine & yes...hand crafted.....as the design needs a bit of refinement ..

    Could be pine but looks awfully clear for pine (no knots). Might be birch or maple if a hard wood. Don't think this has too much age to it. The screw button covers are a sure sign.

    Looks like a relatively recent home project to me. By recent I mean maybe 30-40 years ago? I've never seen a truly old one with the "swing" contraptions before, only rockers underneath.

    The bits that hold the swinging part look precarious to me, I would be afraid to put anything, or anyone, heavy in that :woot:
