Featured Potties (Walter!) a litle help...

    Hi all. I picked up this gorgeous 8 1/2x6 inch vase marked "Sicily" but thats as far as I got ! Ive looked at 1000s of vases trying to match,but no luck so far. Any and all input is appreciated.

    Or a tumble up missing the glass?
    Would they have made those?

    Interesting theory,but I just dont see it ? Maybe its the angle of my pics.

    Its missing its top but it is a hot water carafe. When you order tea in a quality restaurant you often find this carafe in glass rather than ceramic, sitting on the table with your cup and saucer.
    The design is variant of the “Occhio Penna di Pavone” (Eye of the Peacock Feather”. The design first appeared around 1450. This particular design is highly modified as most of these are highly colorful.
    I would date this piece to the 1970’s or so.
