Here i have a pair of spoons. They share the same design but one is marked 925, the other 830, both with the Marius hammer mark. Im trying to find out the age and what the spoons would have been used for, and details on the design. Before seeing the marks i thought these were Eastern in origin, so im really not sure about the detailing. They measure 7” in length.

    Beautiful! And a top name.
    Christening spoons maybe?

Thanks Any J. I think you’re right about christening spoons, no parachute im afraid, just looks like rope coiled around his body. Any thoughts about the four heads near the bowl?

Many traditional silver items have heads in some place or another. Could have some old Norse significance, could just be there because it was a nice spot for a couple of heads.;)
The little guy without parachute probably does have something to do with a Norwegian story/myth.
