    Whether this picture is antiquarian?

What she can be time? At those from whom I have bought it, have told allegedly it was stored a lot of time.

Whether the picture is of some value?

The back looks artificially aged. The staples look modern too. If the back is that dirty why isn't the front?

Do you think this is a fake?

It does look to me as things have been done to deceive. It makes me suspicious. Is there any signature?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I agree......in fact...the back looks like a painting as well!!!!!!

There are no signatures. There are two types of nails on the stretcher. Light is without dirt with hats. And blackened nails without hats.

Do you think this is 100 percent fake?

I don't think this is antique. The subtleties of the "style" of the painting are not.

The back looks beyond bizarre, "artificially aged" was probably a kind term..

It looks as though the back was held over a smoky flame.

Yes it could definitely be smoked on the back thanks Buyingtime. Does it have any odor of smoke or paint?

I would prefer not to have to click on thumbnails from another site though, @SSlava and know I am not the only one. Next posts, please upload directly to page (can drag and drop) and be sure not to leave the picture on "thumbnail" which is the default. Thanks

1930s-40s at the earliest in my opinion. Could be newer than that. Hard to tell with the artificial aging.

    I agree with (estimated) dating.

At first I thought that the canvas might have some kind of fire damage, which then resulted in it being taken off the stretcher and then stapled back on. But the later staples are blackened also which is strange.

I agree with the estimated dating. I'd say no earlier than the 20s. In terms of value, it appears to be unsigned, so unless you have some strong provenance, it'll only have decorative appeal.

To answer your question - yes Sslava, despite whatever date or price anyone put on this, I would call this a fake.
