What are these wrought iron hardware pieces?

    These pieces were in a box lot of door hardware. Are they made to go behind doorknobs or something else?

    Around a keyhole is my immediate thought, without an accurate idea of size. Maybe the lock on a desk drawer, something that way, rather than door.
