Man who works for industrial park landlord told me they evicted a manufacturer and took custody of stuff left behind per lease contract terms. Was I interested in some HEAVY MACHINES? (Hey, does a bear go doodoo in the woods?). I was at the eviction site shortly thereafter with Benjamins as requested and bought the stuff. There was a new slim pallet jack, a new aluminum vehicle loading ramp 4’ x 8’, two different steel frames each made to hold large unknown items, and the 1120 kg steel paperweight, for some kind of testing or calibration. It is made of a stack of maybe 10 thick steel plates. If I’d bought that steel from a supplier it’d cost me as much as the whole lot of stuff. I wanted it so I could use up the steel plates to make other things, but right now it is kind of a neat paperweight. We had no power equipment at the place to load the paperweight, so we pulled it up the trailer’s ramp with a lever-type chain hoist. That took about two hours and was quite tiring for the helper working the lever. The other items were larger but lighter and two of us got all into the trailer in about 1/2 hour. Back at our building, I unloaded it all by myself in 1/2 hour with the forklift.

So it's a stack of uniformly worked steel plates?

Maybe it's some kind of counter balance.
