Should Chinese paintings be mounted?

I am wondering if mounting Chinese paintings hurts the value or the art work. Someone had both of these mounted so they could be framed. I posted this picture previously by Zhen Kiayuan and I am adding the second one that I have. I appreciate any comments or information. Thanks! 0122181246-1.jpg 0122181247.jpg 0122181249-1.jpg 0122181248-1.jpg

There's at least 2 stamps for most paintings before republic period. (Since people during that period not only have a name but also have pseudonym or courtesy name). Since this painting only have one stamp (And font of this stamp is not a tranditional way Qing Dynasty artist normally use), I am highly doubt the authenticity of this panting.
