Jade Egg

    Any opinions if that could be real jade or made of jade alike rock.
    Cannot tell if there are bubbles inside because it is too thick. There are some chips, I would guess from dropping. Don't know if real jade chips but I guess any heavy stone would get damaged if dropped on hard surface.

    Impossible to state with absolute certainty on the basis of photos alone, but most likely "xiu yan jade," which really isn't jade -- nephrite or jadeite -- at all. Not valuable.

    Google "jade eggs" and you'll learn something about these.

    Thanks for the reply. Googling 'jade eggs' is like googling any kind of jade. Just hard to tell, as you pointed, by the pictures. Well, at least I find out that women use such eggs for vaginal exercises.
    Did a density test wich comes to about 3.5 which is a bit over the jadeite density but I am not good at such experiments.

    I'd handle that egg with some latex gloves, then. You don't know where it's been! Well, actually, we do! :jawdrop:
