I picked up a glass ewer at an estate sale, with what I believe might be a pewter handle/spout and stopper. There are no markings on the bottom but is very ornate on the handle/spout and stopper. Can anyone shed some light on where this is from? Because of the grapes in the design I'm assuming it's from Italy, but I'll defer to the experts here.

    Thank you.

Apologies for the bump, but I was hoping to get some additional info in addition to the assistance ineedhelp has given.

    Many thanks.

While little information is forthcoming re: this and others like it, it's not from want of trying. The glass (by itself) is of little consequence, (nothing to identify it) and the pewter (or whatever) is unmarked. It's possible that a third party ordered the glass and the metal and joined them together. Thus creating their own product. Unless an advertisement (unlikely) could be found there may be no possible way to identify either the glass or the metal as to manufacturer since neither manufacturer was involved in the final product.
