Horse mark on copper

    Anyone recognise this horse mark? It's on an old copper mould.

    This site has massive numbers of makers marks though I find it hard to navigate.

    Are you sure this is a maker's mark and not just a decorative element? It might help to see the entire thing.

    You could be right. It's slap bang in the middle but it's the only mark on the thing. And it's a utility item rather than decorative so I suspect if it is decoration, it's also indicative of the maker - whoever that may be.

    It's an armorial, not a maker's mark. Even kitchen stuff got marked with family symbols in fancy Victorian households.
