Hello I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I have been given a large number of toys dating from the 30's, 40's and 50's from an uncle. In the box was a Beppo The Cycling Clown toy. I can find no information about it at all. Can anyone tell me anything about this item. It is made from metal.

There was an Ingmar Bergman movie of this name in 1944. Minus 'cycling'. I think this guy was made for years in a variety of different functions.
Hello! This toy was also marketed as a Tomnie Toy and went by the name Pedddaling Pete. A Pedaling Pete with box in very nice condition sold for $19.50 in November of 2017. It is the same clown toy and accessory ball but it was sold in a different box. Maybe Beppo is an original version of the toy and either Bernard Products were bought out by Tomni or Tomnie bought the rights to the toy from Bernard Products. My guess is Beppo is older. I do not think this fact will effect the worth of the toy much at all. I hope this is helpful information.
I don't think it was ever made as a toy but I loved it! Partially because the lower lights on the clock are a drag racing 'Christmas Tree'! ~ I don't know why I've never made one. I could've easily in the shops I've worked in. I should at least make the clock...eh?
