A gill is an old measure. Here is a 1/2 Gill copper measure.

 

second try to reply to roll ends....
my roll is not complete - ends with some flag parts showing -
seems like it was longer when I first examined it -

 

very nice roll in good condition that has more and different images than mine.

Assuming no value w/o a roll in good condition are there any suggestions out there for making it more interesting for small children?

 

Mine are a little different... Labels say "LithoPlate Educational Board" made by the Richmond School Furniture Co. from Muncie, IND. Last president it shows on that particular area is Herbert Hoover ( 1929-1933) Pretty well dates it as it shows 1929-____

 

Here's one.....go to a Lowes or some other reasonably priced place....get either one of the discarded cut roll shades or have one cut.....a smooth one.....then either do the art work yourself or have some put on it!!!! Voila!!!! Or even let the children do the art work themselves!!!!
