First time posting in this section of the forum. We have inherited a large collection of antiques and are trying to find any information that we can. We aren't in a hurry to get rid of any of it but when the time comes we'd like to know what everything is. Any help that you can provide is greatly appreciated. This item looks like an iron accessory of some sort. Again, thank you
@Bronwen nailed it!!! After heating your 'sadiron' on the big ole kitchen wood stove, you'd rest the hot iron in the trivet..........they can come with all sorts of designs, initials, etc.......
Ok.................................NO Best Answer option with this???? What in the Helsinki is going on with that????
It was never on the Metalware Forum, which was set up several months after the Grand Reopening in 2014.
Oh!!! Well I guess I never noticed but not having it here may be more weird! AND I’m on my phone right now and there isn’t ANYTHING to tell me what forum I’m in.
And I don't even LOOK at things like Antiquers or Facebook on my phone!! The eye Dr. keeps telling me my cataract in one eye isn't big enough to have Ins. cover the surgery yet.......I'd REALLY like to give them/her a HUGE EARFUL JUST HOW ANNOYING IT IS.........BUT I guess until it's a certain size, Ins. WON'T COVER it...... REAL BUMMER............so it's a phone and a camera.....that's IT!!!
I’m continually amazed that it isn’t understood that it’s generally hard to see photos on a phone. And it’s not even that so much if it’s just one. It’s when you’re trying to look at 2-10 and having to open and close them to evaluate things. That’s just nuts.
Notice that I happened to use the word ‘amazed’ as my ‘mood’ has been the same since the moment I joined up here. Amazed.
Is there any way I can make the photo's easier to see on a phone? I'm editing each photo to make it fit on the forum and that includes cropping away everything but the item.
sounds like you're doing the best you can........clicking on FULL IMAGE......when you post is the final step..!
