I think I found this artist's full name before but for the life of me I don't see anything familiar when I look at it now. Can anyone make out the first name? (I got the 2nd!)
I'm sure it's Peruvian (see the Llamas?) and it's a small painting (12" x 8") - seems too small to be a tourist piece (plus so many nail holding canvas - street artist would use something quicker?) But so well done (right?) I think it has to be a known artist.
    Thank you!

It's certainly Andean. Ecuador perhaps with volcano in background Cotopaxi. To my eye, says "Autor: Ricardo." And a souvenir painting.

In Spanish I think that autor means author/creator so maybe not a first name but a descriptor.

There are so many artists that work in this genre. Think would be very hard to identify.

Does anyone know what the scene is? I see a priest in the forefront? And a parade or celebration?

Don't know but sure to be an actual festival and a bit of research should identify.

It is Peruvian Andes. The hats of the two dancers:

look like these photographed in Pisac, not far from Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Incas:

Komo is right, there are many festivals in the Andes region. One every three days, if I remember correctly. Not everywhere at the same time, but they do know how to throw a party.
