Preliminary Question

So, a friend of mine wants to sell her late mother’s costume jewelry, some of which is from the 40s and 50s. There is a powder compact and what looks like a cigarette case and some other little lidded box (maybe for matches) and I’m wondering if there is a market for these items as well as the jewelry. I will post photos later as I haven’t seen the items “in the flesh” yet, but I wondered if those non jewelry items would have any collectible appeal. Thanks!

Yes, these are the only photos I have at the moment. INH, yes that does look the same compact, but I’m not sure, either! Hopefully I’ll see these and the jewelry in person and I’ll take some more photos. I think the little box fits inside the larger one — a cigarette and matches combination case.
