Ok I think it is a dental chair. I should have looked up antique dental chair instead of vintage

Actually, it looks more like "PALN"............OR could Brywil take a straight on picture of the lettering.....more complete and larger pictures would have been better too, but.................course maybe that's a reflection near the R side of what I'm calling the "L".....in which case....yes it would say "PAIN":wideyed::wideyed:

Yeah sorry about the pictures I have an IPhone the pics it takes are too big too download so I have to email them to myself and save them. Something definitely gets lost in translation. There has to be a better way

That's usually exactly what I do as well, (mine's a Samsung S7), but there are free or on board your computer a resizing program, or you can get very reasonably priced ones that also let you do reasonable editing!! Just a suggestion!!:rolleyes:

I am wondering if perhaps the chair could have been used for eye and/or ear exams (not just a "possible" dental chair).

I could see that in a tattoo parlor, if only in the waiting area.

I trust if it’s an old dentist chair from your research, but the first thing that came to mind when I saw the photos was a chair for drawing blood.

I still like my out of date Google Picasa for resizing from my Samsung Android phone

This reminds me of a directory signboard I saw in a friend's office-building once. One of the signs read:

    "Dr. Paino - Dental Surgery".
