I came across this folded up in an old file cabinet and had a question about this and other Persian textiles. First, it's not very thick (you can see light through the weave) so I'm wondering if it's considered a blanket or is it meant to be walked on or hang on a wall? Second, I know most woven things (machined like this or otherwise) have a light and a dark side but the colors on this are actually opposite, almost like a positive/negative. Does anyone know why this would be? Is it a result of the manufacturing technique? Thanks. 20180217_071316-1013x1198.jpg 20180217_071251-912x1058.jpg 20180217_073710-1512x2016.jpg 20180217_073759-1512x2016.jpg 20180217_070602-1512x2016.jpg

    Hi Any Jewelry,
Thank you for the info. I had one several years ago had no idea what it was or even used for. Sold it at a yard sale for 5 dollars. Now I wish that I had kept it.

I'm sure something like that has happened to all of us. After all, you can't know everything.
