Wood Wolf/Dog Mask

    Was wondering what region of the world this might come from. Measures 10" long, 6 3/4" wide and is 5 1/4" deep.

    This would be from Guatemala I believe; so probably not a wolf. Might be a dog, or perhaps a jaguar, though the teeth are rather square....
    But whatever the creature depicted, the style of the eyelashes in particular points to Guatemala. It also looks like a hole in the upper forehead may have been filled in at one time, and that sort of hole is also indicative of Guatemala.
