    The idea of a pendulum clock at sea seemed an absurdity until I found out how they proposed to isolate the inertial frame of the movement and pendulum from that of the ship. The ball joint suspension was a reasonable try, just not good enough for the purpose.
    Obviously some museum is the place for this interesting device.
