Candleholder,any ideas who,what and where?

    Hi all ,picked up this thing even though its a little rough. I just liked the lines and her sad little face. I think its a coated base metal,and possibly Swedish or Danish,but I guess it could be from anywhere! I google searched it for hours,with zero luck. Its 12 inches high and 9 wide,and any info or opinions are welcome .

    Those two lines on her head are probably her hair, parted in the middle, not eyes. I'm sure she is very happy, she brings light.:happy:

    Russian it is ! Not much info about it,the few I found call it mid century,I guess having the right keyword is tantamount in a successful google image search!Any ideas on how to clean her ? Thank you all so much for once again being so helpful.
