This little pot is well marked but I can't find out what the marks mean.
I think it's old. All the bits on it that look like dirt are in the glaze.
    It's trinket pot sized.

    Hi,
Hope I'm wrong but that kind of "dirt" on all the edging gives me an "antique" fake feeling.

You are so right. It's under Hua Ping Tang Zhi.

Thanks all. It was only a 50p item so 1p per year isn't bad.

I don't think it's fake old though because it's unlikely they would have date stamped it 1970s if it was.

Do the images on the lid make sense to anyone now we know it's 1970s or younger? It looks like some sort of royal commemorative piece.

It's correct. "Hua Rong Tang Zhi" or "Hua Rong Hall Made"
Hua Rong is it's Hall mark. "Hua Rong Tang Zhi" porcelain are made after late 1980s, mostly are made in 1990s. Its hall mark changed to "JUWC 1897" in 2001. (it is actually the letters UW inside two inverted quotation marks which stands for United Wilson,Made in China.)
