Stands 6 inches high, hexagonal with a ridged pattern on 3 panels and the other 3 are smooth.
Has a #4 on the base and what appears to be two footed arrows facing each other.

    Hi,
I think regular bottle smooth sides for the label. Poison bottles usually had small nobs like hobnails on one or two sides so you did not grab the wrong bottle during the night.

    Hi Davey,
Again I wish that Don was still with us, he and I used to exchange poison bottles here in the US. Perhaps it was different in the UK but the ones in the US all had different sets of "nibs" on the bottles so people did not take them in the dark. If they were different in Europe I would not really know but here in the US they were usually marked. Sorry to disagree but I really am only to go by what we have been told here in the US. I am sorry if I made an error.

Poison bottle and absolutely typical of British ones. That's probably liniment. I've not seen any US ones, that I know of.
