Certainly bone/antler or some sort of plastic, but definitely not ivory. Kind of looks like capillary holes on the back but I'm not sure if that is damage towards the bottom?

I'd think bone. Hard to identify the country of origin. There is a world-wide industry supplying bone beads to the bead-crafter's market, so in the craft stores one can find bone beads made in Indonesia, imitating shapes from Ethiopia, or with Eskimo, Samoan, Egyptian or Maori themes; beads from Thailand with Tibetan themes...and so on and on.
Thus a genuine ethnic necklace from Ethiopia ends up looking almost like one assembled by a crafter in the US from imported materials.

I had to re glue the top point on the tower and when I took that off it definitely had schreger lines

I’ve been convincing myself they are real but there’s always that chance they aren’t!
