    Chris Mount Getting there

Hi all I grab bags of jewellery from the local op shop they are anywhere from 7 to 10 dollars and enjoy going through them to see if there's anything good. Mostly costume stufgf I don't bother with. Find a bit of silver etc but this was in one of the bags today and I reckon it's pretty smick. I like the detail for something that is only 30mm high. Has silver stamped on bail and what looks like enamel can anyone tell me anything about it at all thanks chris 15125473651343.jpg 15125473837366.jpg 15125473651985.jpg 15125473651704.jpg

It is charming, Chris. A Chinese filigree and cloisonné flowerpot pendant.
The twisted wire edging around the enamel are a sign that it is late, the 'silver' mark is pre-1990. That means this dates from the late period of what is called 'Chinese Export Jewellery', 1970s-90s.
The silver content is probably .900.

I will never trust silver mark(whatever 950,925, etc.) if it is produced in China or Japan.
There are so many weighted silver products which made in the near 15 years. Even it is made of pure solid silver claimed an antique, still be very careful because it could be a replica.
