I dunno - any possibility some museum or tourist trap in Mexico was importing italian stuff to sell in their gift shop?

I believe what we may have here is either a case of deliberate omission on the part of Joe or a factory error that is more than sixty years old. This decanter was produced in 1960 for “Luxardo”. The company sold their cherry flavored liqueur in figural containers, both ceramic and glass (made in Murano). These bottles were highly collectible and there was even a Luxardo Collectors Club. The bottles changed design from year to year. This model, is known as “The Mayan”. All containers were marked either “Lux” or “Made Exclusively for Luxardo”. In the case of the ceramic bottles the words were permanently stenciled on the underside. Is this example missing that all-important phrase?
