Limbert furniture by van raalte questions

I picked up these 2 nightstands in rough condition, researched the name when I got home. Found out it's pretty decent furniture. I was going to totally redo them but now I'm rethinking that decision. Am I better off trying to restore them myself, having a professional do the restoration, or can i completely redo them as if they weren't anything special? Does anyone know the worth as is? If restored? Too many options lol...any input would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, I didn't realize Limbert made revival styles as Stickley did, unfortunately this style is not what either are known for (mission or arts & craft style). Wait for verybrad, he is very knowledgeable about this era of furniture.

 

The name would only add slight value to these over other similar furniture without pedigree. I don't think I would paint them but also wouldn't do much to restore them, nor spend money on having them worked on professionally. Spruce them up a bit and enjoy them as they are. Otherwise, move them on to someone who would better appreciate them and find something else to re-do.

 

We have a full dining room set of Limbert Van Raalte furniture. How do I find out what is worth? I would guess it was made in the 1950s-60s.

 

@Kent Rottman - you would be best off starting your own thread. in the furniture section, with lots of pictures, instead of responding to a thread has been 'dead' for over 2 years.
