I have used it on copper bottom pans.....like Revere Ware. It works wonders.

I would never use it on flatware or other sterling pieces.

    Hi,
Please DO NOT USE the baking and foil trick. It does the cleaning but it removes so much of the silver that in a short period you will be replating or wondering where your sterling went.

    Thanks greg and judy.
I thought that would be the case. Just thought of double checking.

Silver is meant to have a soft glow from polishing, with tarnish in the recessed areas giving depth.
The baking soda takes everything away leaving a bright all over finish that looks wrong for any older or antique silver.

Definitely Do Not use on old silver.

I wouldn't even use it on "new silver." ;)

    Hi,
ESPECIALLY on new silver since it is even thinner.
