White pot with flowers - European markings

Dear all
Have attached pictures of a pot. My mother says this was used to house flower pots in them. This has some Asian character at the bottom. Don’t know if I have uploaded the picture with the markings correctly.
Any leads or similar pots would be helpful. Not been able to locate how old this is. This could be post 1950s is my assumption.
Let me know if you need close ups of any picture.

 

TinyTim, I believe you'd call that a cachepot.

I'm not convinced that what's there is Asian writing:

 

I agree, not Asian at all. The last line is 6147 (with the 7 crossed in European style.)

 

I always look at the first picture or two before reading what the OP writes. My reaction was what a cute German pot.

Then read that it was marked with Asian writing - thought wow, I was wrong about that one.
Then looked at the writing. No this is not Asian. Agree with Bakers that the last are European numbers.

First line G. F?

Time period late 1800s before 1891.

 

Thanks Guys am new here and learning so much.

Always told was some Chinese pot. Never paid any attention to the writing.
Now that Bakersgma and CC49 have said G.F and 6147, i can see that.

I have taken the liberty to change the title as well.

Any more info on this? any more leads on GF and whats between GF and 6147?

I have another one which i will post tomorrow as well. That one has no markings
