My Mom has had several antique pieces handed down to her over the years from family members that has passed away. She's retired now and is looking to have some parts fixed and replaced on them, but wants to keep them as close to original as possible. Stuff like handles, latches and knobs that are broken or missing. I'm hoping to find help identifying some of them to maybe help get the correct replacements. Ebay is full of things like that, but I never know if it will be correct. Looking forward to talking with everyone :)

Greetings, Chris! The Furniture forum is your best bet, even if what you want to know about is the hardware.

Yes, that's mostly what she has been asking me questions about. Some stuff she doesn't know the age of. When she told me that her Grandma purchased some of it used when her Mom was young, I knew it had to be old. She's also got her Moms acoustic guitar, a 1934 Martin D. She already knows about the value of it, but I might share some pics of it too :)

Yes, I'm looking around. I see there's a pottery section. She's got alot of old pieces that I'm sure she'll have questions about. For instance, she showed me an old candy dish yesterday, that's missing the lid. She was asking about finding a correct one for it.
