Sewing / Jewelry Box

    I thought this box was interesting and was hoping someone might know some descriptive terms for it. Serpentine? The curved solid construction of the body of the box seems different than what I usually see. The tray inside would have been a nice piece on its own if someone hadn't cut a hole in the side and removed the dividers.

    I'm not sure but looks Chinese to me (right shape), around 1890-1910.
