No marks found. Any suggestions on age and country of origin?
    Thanks

Please check with magnet, may be plated steel. Looks too thin -walled for brass only. I can’t begin to know the purpose of the box without dimensions. You can post your whatzit questions without dimensions if you like; it’ll reduce my future reading workload.

    4” x 3 1/4” x 1 1/2”. Does not stick to magnet.

Thanks, that probably eliminates biscuit tin. Maybe our UK crowd will comment; I always thought boxes like that were a fairly common type of product packaing in UK.
