Brush Pot or Not?

    it looks like the top/spout was broken off. Does it feel that way?

    Hi,
    I can not get the feeling that the black decoration is teeth. i would use it as a candle holder.

    Looks more like an Ikebana vase/pot to me, and perhaps student-made...

    Doubt it, i think its closer to it being a brushpot.
