Hello; I've just found this wonderful forum whilst trying to identify a tea set I've recently acquired when my parents were having a clear out. I cannot find any reference to the maker (even on here) and was hoping someone may be able to give me a steer in the right direction. I've attached a picture of the mark; it looks to be 'Porlithy' but beyond a similar set in ebay I can find no information about the maker; any help will be gratefully received. Will.
Hi @confused collector and WELCOME!! I rotated and cropped your image as well as sharpening and lightening it up.....I think you'll do better if you look for "Lorlith"......not that I've heard of it myself!!!! I'm also not sure of the letters in the two circles above and below....the left 'A' and right 'L' are easily discernible....hope it helps a bit.....I'm sure others will be along to help more than I can!!!!
http://www.nlcvshop.top/three-vintage-porlith-czechoslovkian-orange-lustre-trios-p-629.xhtml I found a few advertised as Porlith. (Can’t know if that is correct either) They were all lusterware orange, 1 was blue.
Thanks johnny, I was wondering what it might actually look like, since we haven't seen OP's set yet!!!!!
