Silver chased green bottle

    Picked this up at our local Illwill just because, plus it was only 2.98 and would make a nice window bottle. It was black when I bought it but figured it would clean up. It looks like the top has had a hard life but is still together probably because of the silver. Any idea what this was used for or possible age? It is a little over 9 inches tall with the stopper and a little over 2 1/2 inch on the base.

    I’ve got something similar with matching small glasses, I assumed it was a liqueur set.

    BTW, it's silver deposit or (maybe) overlay, but not "chased."

    Hi,
    It is silver deposit. If it was overlay it would have been a piece of silver that was cutout and then applied to the glass. If it does not tarnish it is usually platinum not silver.
