Carved & Turned Solid Wood Column..Musical Instrument??..Wood Type??..Origin??

    I believe a rain stick would be hollow...This is a solid & heavy piece of wood...I was thinking you could use a stick to create different sounds,by rubbing or banging its outside.....If not....It is a cool piece of art!!

    Looks like one of one of those wind instruments they use on survivor tv show that makes that eerie sound. Is the top open or hollow? That notch could be a mouthpiece

    Cat...The notch is an open,natural knot in the wood...Top is solid.

    Table leg maybe? That is what it looks like to me, and the three dowels at one end could hide screw holes. I can't see any tribal connection.

    Beats me. Also don't see tribal. More of an art/craft piece. Looks like it is meant to stand since only one end is finished. ..... candle stand?
