large hand painted portrait plate

    hi could anyone help with this odd plate

    reminds me of that guy from home alone with the snow shovel !!

    This says that TT&Co is for Taylor, Tunnicliffe & Co who have been in business from circa 1868 to the present.

    Don't know who he is! The plate was made for display, as you probably already know.

    I suspect he's someone's grandfather, or whatever. A specially commissioned plate with a photo on it.

    I don’t see many plates or portraits.
    Maybe it’s a Lord?
    Also, maybe something about his attire can give some clues.
    I’m not familiar with the attire, but maybe someone can pin it down.
