Drop Leaf table identification

    Hey All,

    New to the antiquing world. Can anyone give me a hint to the type of wood, maker, approximate age, of the antique drop leaf table?

    This is a gate-leg table. Based on the styling, 1950s or so. Can't tell the wood from this pic but possibly walnut.

    I can pick up similar tables for less than $50.00 here in the Midwest. Would be higher at retail. May be higher (or lower) in other locations.
