Thank you again to everybody for you contributions to this thread. I think that it is very safe to say from all of the evidence, that this is most likely a homage of Chinese origin that was inspired by the above painting of the era. The obfuscation of the finer details taken from the original painting and the biggest give away, the staples used to stretch the canvas, leads to the obvious conclusion that is a recent reproduction. As somebody new to this, it is an absolute privilege and an inspiration to have access to this depth of knowledge from people who clearly take their art very seriously. Thank you.
