    Thanks, the plate number is same as mine, 216. Hmmmm:bored: also, mine is slightly different, I have 4 trees.

    I would only be guessing on that, maybe someone Will know for sure. I would guess a name.

    "For Batea" gets repeated around the internet without identification. It's attractive ware. Not typically what one thinks of when one thinks of Italy.

    I have a large vase with almost the same painting on it, and on the bottom it says "Hand Painted In Italy For Batea 334". I got it when cleaning out my parents house. Supposedly my dad bought it in the '50s in Alaska, but I don't know that for sure.

    Ask on the Bitossi Facebook page, they'll know. That mottle is often Fratelli Fantiullaci.
