Pottery mark question

Greetings. I have this plate (8” diam) and two matching candle holders. Is there a special meaning about the number mark? Perhaps number of items made or something else? I like winter scenes and will keep those. They seem newer items but regardless I like them a lot. Thanks. Have a great weekend. Thanks, the plate number is same as mine, 216. Hmmmm also, mine is slightly different, I have 4 trees.

 

Excuse my ignorance, is Batea name of person or company?

 

"For Batea" gets repeated around the internet without identification. It's attractive ware. Not typically what one thinks of when one thinks of Italy.

I have a large vase with almost the same painting on it, and on the bottom it says "Hand Painted In Italy For Batea 334". I got it when cleaning out my parents house. Supposedly my dad bought it in the '50s in Alaska, but I don't know that for sure.

 

Ask on the Bitossi Facebook page, they'll know. That mottle is often Fratelli Fantiullaci.
