CAN YOU HELP ME DETERMINE THE AGE OF THIS CANDLEHOLDER

    I belive that this candleholder is italian make or maybe french. I think that is possible that is from 18 century, but i am not sure, because of the ornate details is possible that it is from art nouveau period.. I am simply not sure. It is interesting because is silvered and gilt, and it has ink stains - so somebody had write a letter by this candlestick, so it must be old. It has no other marks. 1 (Medium).JPG

    What do you all think about it ?

    Hi and welcome. It will be helpful to know more information such as size and what is it made from? Even if not marked could you show the base?
