Soapstone Foo Dogs holders?

    Saw these two today, dyou think they are intended to hold something? A brush perhaps.
    Thought they’ve be bone at first but soapstone for sure.

    Or does it just mean some of the work was done with a drill?

    Haha yeh you might be right there. Foo dogs are so mass produced and this auction has a seller who keeps bringing fake or cheap Asian antiques in, there’s about 5 every week but its not supposed to be an antique auction and they never assert that they are genuine.

    The openings look a bit small for napkin rings. Think they were just drilled out in the hard to reach places & no effort was made to disguise the fact.

    Yes, just drillwork, if you'd chose to give it a name.
    I rarely give advise on whether to buy something or not, but this is a very loud no.

    They're genuine dust collectors. What the buyer does with them is his/her problem.
