Mary Queen of Scots tapestry

    My wife has a tapestry that has been in her family for hundreds of years.
    She is ultimately descended from British aristocracy, but we now live in Australia and have been considering selling the tapestry.
    I have no idea how much it is worth or who would want to buy it.
    According to her family legend it was created by Mary Queen of Scots during her time in prison.
    Is there any way that we can find out whether or not it is genuine, and if so, how much they are worth?
    It is about 70cms long and 50cms wide.
