Help ID pottery statue of Chinese?

    I picked this up at my local thrift shop. I think it's imitating a bronze statue of a chinese person? I am not totally certain though if it's chinese or not. Also there is a old green protective on the bottom. Thank you for any information.

    just a WAG but it doesn't look Chinese made to me ...maybe Bertha Lum or Esther Hunt era? Nice piece though.
