I saw this carving and can't find it online. Help!

  1. I have a lot of African art just average stuff. But I saw this thrifting yesterday. It was a little bit high but I really like it. Can someone tell me if it's Caribbean or African. And what the signature Lubin stands for... 16157270955714964237726585465417.jpg 16157270955714964237726585465417.jpg the person or a gallery. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

  3. Trying to get my phone to take a photo but it's not or miss if website says file too large. Will try again soon. Height is around 12 inches.

Looks Haitian to me - 'Lubin' is a fairly common surname in Haiti, as well as the name of a town...

Try emailing your photos to yourself and selecting medium size. This should do the trick.

A better view of her head (headwrap) might be helpful. But from what I can see so far I agree with Dragonfly that it looks Caribbean rather than African.
