Featured New Find=Modern Painting

Hello,

This is my new find for today a 44x20 painting. I really liked the bright colors, but not sure what it is a painting of (if anything). I thought I would share it to see if anyone had any comments or would enjoy seeing it. I haven't started researching yet, but it has the name Hedrick written twice on the back. I hope you enjoy it! I will start my search in the morning.

 

looks like a praying figure..........nice colors..

the staples and cotton tread hanger , tells me it very recent.

 

So I am thinking it might be Wally Hedrick from California. I was able to find 4 pictures with the back of his paintings. The name seems to be very similar. I would think my painting would be one of his later paintings as he died in 2003. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

 

The signature is similar but doesn't look like the quality of work I'd expect from an artist of his importance. Still, you may wish to contact his estate.

Thanks for the info...it is just one possible options.

 

Just an update on the search. I did contact the email above. I sent a quick email with a couple pictures. He replied and basically said, based on the 20/44 on the verso. The painting is machine made and is #20 of 44. *I didn't want to be annoying so I just said "thank you"; however, I am pretty sure the 20/44 refers to the size of the painting (which is 20 x 44).

I also found a signature on the front of the painting (lower left), but it is very dark and hard to get a photo of. Here is my attempt of getting a photo...so the search continues

 

that could be a co-inkydink.........and the painting could very well be a Giclee..

 

Anything is possible, but I am pretty sure it is a painting by someone. And if it is a Giclee, I assume it would be based on a painting by "Hedrick." Thanks!

 

As art, I like what you've found. It's joyful.

The paintings you found online are very nice, as well.

The forrest scene pulls me in. The image is neatly contained in its space. Very comforting for its energy.
