Art Glass Bowl with fine spiral lines - Artist?

I was told that this small footed art glass bowl was Scandinavian. It was hard to capture the way the fine white and black lines are twisted first one way and then back around but it indicates to me a superb skill set. This makes me believe that this might be a known artist. The problem is that I couldn't find an etched signature amongst the scratches on the bottom of the piece. I took some pictures of something that looks to me to be a signature starting with W H, but this may be just my imagination. Surprisingly, the pontil scar was not polished. It is almost 5 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 tall. Does anyone recognize this work? Any help appreciated.

 

Usually this is Italian, Murano, and known as filigrana. It is sometimes Japanese too.

I asked a group that sells Dino Martens' work about whether this is one of his pieces. Here is their response:
"I am not sure if this is by Martens or not. If it is his work, it is pretty minor and this is his hardest material to sell so the value is under $1000 and not something for us."
