Can anyone tell me anything about these? They are interesting to me because they only have chinese(?)characters stamped on the bottom (no made in China or just China) + a character that was pressed into the plate while the pottery was still soft or before it was glazed?
    Are these anything special?
    Any way to tell age?
    Thank you for any help!

They are Japanese, Hihi Soizumi in the Ko-Imari style, copies of a famous Edo period design. Showa period, probably fairly modern but nice quality, they don't seem to be readily available outside the home market.
